Introduction
Les chansons de maris cocus sont relativement fréquentes, parfois même c'est avec le curé que l'épouse trompe son mari. Ici c'est avec un domestique.
La chanson est ponctuée de commandements servant à guider des bœufs (Maruèlh et Fresat, soit Brun et Frisé).
En Rouergue méridional la servante est appelée chambrièira ou chimporla.
